Its churches are generally known as American Evangelical Christian, but its member clergy may serve other denominational or independent bodies while holding credentials with AECC.
How is A.E.C.C. Distinct? The movement is not committed to ecclesiastical standards or doctrines repugnant to human reason. A.E.C.C. does not advocate extremism or fanaticism of any kind. On the other hand if judged by the Word of God as authoritative, the doctrinal position of A.E.C.C. is fundamentally sound and many persons of ability are attracted to it by its evangelical and its orthodox character.
The A.E.C.C., founded as an inter doctrinal ecclesiastical body, has Six Articles of Faith to which each member must subscribe. A.E.C.C. believes these to be the first and foremost doctrines of the Bible and are found in all evangelical teachings.
